18th March

Well, this morning we woke up to find a ridiculous amount of snow had fallen overnight – 40cms at least down here! :o I was over my knees trying to get to the car! :o Lots of cars were completely buried and lots of idiotic people were walking in the middle of the road along with their small children and small dogs! Morons!!!

Unfortunately the snow that fell was not at all of the light and fluffy variety down here – more like liquid concrete to ski in! :( I’m told that up at the Toura (when they managed to open it) that it was really fab powder.  Grrrr! >:(

We did have fun though, and if you went almost completely straight you could just about move …

Fresh snow in Les 2 Alpes

The blue down from the summer luge chairlift – quite steep actually

I thought my guys did really well and this is a pretty new experience for them! :)

here are 3 pix of random people struggling in the snow!

Can I get up?

Can I get up?

It’s snowing again now, so I expect we’ll have more of the same tomorrow! :)

The deep bits reminded me of wading through the mud to get to the boat’s mooring at low tide :-( . Pleased I got a chance to try skiing in such conditions though :-)
